Services

From a cultural perspective there are 178 countries that practice postpartum traditions. We are honoring two lives during this time. This is much needed and deserved by a birthing woman. She is the root of a healthy community and requires protection, rest, and healing. She is as vulnerable as the newborn, requiring her own unique care. A woman is reborn every time she gives birth. With each pregnancy it is said she makes seven years spiritual advancement. She has the opportunity to neurologically rewrite her system, and thus is reborn.

These innate traditions help to avoid and prevent postpartum depression and suicide, isolation, loneliness, ailments, and to ease the aftermath of a traumatic birth, while also reducing everyday stress. It is said that the gates to the spirit world open during pregnancy and remain so through the postpartum. It is said the new mother has one foot in the grave. She is a floating spirit, in between worlds. Her spirit needs to be called back to close her and close the portal. Without proper care our mothers are closer to the grave. A woman’s future health depends on how well she is cared for and how much rest she receives during her postpartum.
